The Ardens Note Summarising template allows you to backdate lots of different patient information that might be found in the Lloyd George folder but not on the Electronic record such as backdating Vaccinations.
Clicking on the Medication tab at the top, in the middle of the template is a vaccination section with 2 buttons; Record Vaccination and Next Contact.
The Next Contact button can be used in the same way as the Next Event Button that you might use at present to backdate vaccinations. However the Next Contact button is designed to not only save the event on the date recorded, but also to revert the screen back to the same medication screen above.
To backdate Vaccinations, please follow the below steps:
1. It would be advisable to first click Next Contact so that any information you may have already recorded gets added to the patients record dated correctly.
2. Click on the Record Vaccination button, the below SystmOne Vaccinations template will open.
Using the highlighted red boxes complete the fields:
- Change the exact date by either overtyping with the date of the vaccination or backdating from the dropdown calendar box. Please note: This changes the date of the consultation
- Use the Vaccination Drop Down box to choose the relevant vaccination. Tip: If may need to tick the Obsolete tick box if the vaccination isn't available in the generics and branded list
- You will be asked to record a Batch Number. If not known type in Unknown, NA or something similar
- The GMS status may need to be changed so it doesn't fall under your GMS claims if done elsewhere
- You may want to untick the record consent box if necessary
- Click OK once completed and the Note Summarising template will appear again
3. Click on the Next Contact button on the Note Summarising template and this will add the vaccination to the patients record and will then reopen the template on the Medication screen for you to backdate another vaccination or for you to move on to another section in the template.
