The template can be located in the following ways:
- Auto-Consultation > ardens NURSES and HCAs > Stool Sample
- Use the bottom left search bar in SystmOne
- Via the General Consultations template (gastrointestinal tab; Investigations)
If using on a regular basis, save to F12 favourites for quick access.
As with all Ardens templates, the coded tick boxes have relevant links to the right should you require access to other templates/hyperlinks/leaflets etc.
The leaflet hyperlink navigates to the NHS advice which can either be printed or copy the hyperlink from the webpage to forward as text/email to the patient.
Dependant on the IT set up at your surgery we have provided both links to ICE/T-quest (blue bottle icon) and LabelTrace.
There is a Bristol Stool Chart with pictures - add the result in the Bristol Score box. There is also a link to the Faecal Calprotectin template if needed and a field to add the result. The template provides guidance on when to repeat/review the test and includes a PIL.
The Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) template is also embedded should you require.
The Follow-Up template will show any current booked appointments/visits, outstanding tasks & any SystmOne recalls.
If needing to book a further appointment there is a link to the Appointment Ledger, Creating a Task, adding a new Recall etc.
Reports
There are reports to show number of stool/FIT samples done or sent in the last month:
Go to Clinical Reporting > select the Ardens Ltd folder > Investigations > Activity Last Month >
Specimens | FIT samples done last month
Specimens | Stool samples done/sent last month
